Center of wine growing “must” for wine lovers.
Picnic in the vinyards, savouring a Comté cheese from the local Cheese factory together with fresh Baguette and walnuts.

Beaune
Important for its wine and art - one of the most wonderful excursions in Burgundy.
In November you can witness the celebration of the largest feast in the Cote d’Or region, the *Les Trois Glorieuses”.
It is on the first Saturday after Nov 11 when the “Chevaliers du Tastevin” make their way to their old seat on the Clos de Vougeot castle dressed
in their traditional red outfit. The climax of the event is on the next day of the wine auction in the Hotel Dieu in Beaune, a Mecca for wine lovers from all over the world.
On Monday, the last day of the celebration, there is a large meal in the “white wine city” of Mersault.

Besancon
Capital of the Franche-Compté region located at the bend of the Doubs river. Breath taking old town in the classic style of the 17th century. Mighty fortress which has several museums and a small zoo overlooking the town.
In 2002 Besancon was given the title of being France’s town with the highest quality of living.
Market is Tuesday, Friday and Saturday in the Market Hall at the Place de la Révolution.
Sunday market from 8 am to 0:30 pm is at the Bridge Pont Battant.

Dole
Old capital of the Franche-Comtè. Today approx. 30.000 inhabitants. Since 1967 the whole town is under preservation (of//as an) ancient monument and is a beautiful cultural and architectural heritage.
A visit is especially recommended on the Marketdays (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) where the market is held around the church Notre-Dame, built in the 15th century.
